‘Lekker Feeling: A Bitcoin Ekasi Story’ takes you to Mossel Bay, South Africa, where a group called Bitcoin Ekasi has partnered with a local surfing community to create new opportunities with Bitcoin. There, the group is building hope for a community still healing from the legacy of Apartheid by empowering the next generation to learn about Bitcoin and surfing as a pathway to individual freedom.

The goal of releasing Lekker Feeling was to raise awareness about the state of South Africa and fund the renovation of The Surfer Kids’ center, allowing more children to participate in the program.

Within just forty-eight hours after its premiere at the Angelika Film Center in New York City in July 2023, the film achieved its fundraising goal, surpassing it sixfold ($140k), thanks to generous contributions from personalities like Jack Dorsey, G Money, and others.
